Piecing
-
Stitch a medium blue B and a medium
blue BR to adjacent sides of a 3 1/2" ecru square, stitching from the even
edge to 1/4" from the opposite edge.
-
To stitch the short diagonal seam
between B and BR, fold your pieced unit in half diagonally, right sides
together. Align B and BR, and stitch from the ecru square to the outside
edge.

-
Stitch a navy B to the pieced unit,
as shown, opposite the medium blue B.

-
Stitch a navy A to the remaining
side as shown in the diagram.

-
Make 2 Boxes using the medium blue
and navy. Make 2 boxes using burgundy and pink.
-
Lay out the 4 boxes in pairs,
alternating colors. Refer to the photo for placement. When joining the boxes
in pairs, stitch from the center of the layout outward as shown.

-
Join the pairs, stitching from seam
allowance to seam allowance, and matching the center seam.
-
Set in each C by stitching from the
point to the outer edge. Backstitch at the point as shown. Stop stitching
1/4" from the outside edge.
