  Turkey in the Straw

Previous Block of the Month: Turkey in the Straw

Three special prints play equal roles with the support of a background player.

"Turkey in the Straw" (10" square), also called Swing in the Center, was first published by the Chicago Tribune. Loretta Leitner Rising wrote the syndicated column in which it appeared, under the name of Nancy Cabot. Hunderds of Cabot patterns were sold by mail-order through the 1930s by both the Tribune and the Progressive Farmer.
